Bagnard is a display serif by Sébastien Sanfilippo, drawn during a bicycle journey retracing the route of a 19th-century convict and named after the French bagnes (penal colonies). It pairs sturdy, slightly archaic serifs with crisp contrast and a confident, literary voice that comes alive at large sizes in titles and posters.
