Redaction is a serif typeface commissioned by Titus Kaphar and Reginald Dwayne Betts for their exhibition at MoMA PS1, designed by MCKL. Inspired by US legal typography — Times New Roman, Century Schoolbook — it comes in grades from subtly analog to nearly illegible, referencing the degradation documents suffer within the criminal justice system.
